About Jan Sommer PhD, Psychologist
For over 30 years I've been practicing psychotherapy as a Marriage Family and Child Therapist in California, Alberta and British Columbia. I graduated from California Institute of Integral Studies in 1990 with a PhD in Clinical Psychology. I am licensed as a Psychologist in Idaho (Lic #202961) and Alberta Canada (#3531). Over the years, I've supervised many masters level and doctoral level Family Therapists. I've been pleased to work in medical and therapeutic teams, at both hospital based clinics and outpatient settings. I believe in a multi-disciplinary approach to mental health problems.
